We all sing along to Grease. You do, too -- don't lie. So swing into Alamo Drafthouse in Lubbock on Thursday, February 1st for a theater full of fellow singers.

The Grease singalong starts at 7:30 p.m., and you can grab tickets here. Who knows -- maybe you'll find a Danny to your Sandy there, or vice-versa.

If you've never been to one of Alamo's sing along events, then get ready for an experience. People dress up in costume, as characters, do their hair, everything you can think of to feel like they're in the movie too. There's dancing in the seats, and everyone sings as loud as they can, so no one ever feels to shy to play along. Plus they put the lyrics on the movie screen so you don't forget them in the heat of the moment.

Released in June 1978, just as school was letting out, GREASE was an instant blockbuster that became the Must-See Movie of the season. It then took all of Hollywood by surprise as it continued to make big money most of the rest of the year. Before it opened, many wondered if GREASE would do as well at the box office as Travolta's SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER had done six months before; the question seemed laughable shortly afterward, as GREASE brought in nearly $160 million at the box office -- in a time when even the top ticket prices were still under $4.
