Saturday, July 1st. 6th annual Amigos La Raza on the Plaza -

Join us for Fourth on Broadway’s 6th annual Amigos La Raza on the Plaza on Saturday, July 1st, 2017 at the Lubbock County Courthouse Square, on Texas Ave, between Broadway and Main. This year La Raza on the Plaza will feature the music of AJ Castillo, Eddie Gonzalez, David Lee Garza y Los Musicales, Gary Hobbs, Sekreto, Bobby G & The Galaxy Band and DJ Sancho. Gates open at 1 pm, music will start at 2 pm. Kids 12 and under get in free. $15 advance tickets are available at Pronto Mart, Montelongo’s, Seminole Beer Barn, Stop & Go (Lamesa) or online at RAZAONTHEPLAZA2017.EVENTBRITE.COM

Sunday and Monday, July 2nd & 3rd. 1st Annual Texas Country Freedom Fest - Kick up your boots in the Hub City with TWO days of Great Texas Country Music! Broadway Festivals, Inc. is proud to announce our First Annual LubbockApartment.com's Texas Country Freedom Fest, to be held on July 2nd and 3rd, 2017 at the Lubbock County Courthouse Square, on Texas, between Broadway and Main Aves. Sunday, July 2nd will feature music from William Clark Green, Randall King and Grant Gilbert. Monday, July 3rd will feature music from Randy Rogers Band, Dalton Domino and Shotgun Rider. Gates will open at 7, show starts at 7:30. One night passes for the festival are $25 and two night passes are $40. Tickets are on sale now at selectaseatlubbock.com or any Select-a-Seat location.

Tuesday, July 4th, 27th Annual 4th on Broadway Celebration. Yankee Doodle Dash 5K, 1 Mile and Fun Run - Go back in time to the Spirit of 1776 with the Yankee Doodle Dash (5K and 1 Mile) that will take you along the parade route. The Sparkler Sprint (100 Yard Dash - free for kids 6-12) will have the children kicking up some fireworks between the crowds as they line the streets before the parade.

PlainsCapital Bank Free Parking - 7 am - 10 pm - Free parking will be available directly across the street from Mackenzie Park, off of Canyon Lakes Drive, in between Broadway and 19th Streets. https://www.broadwayfestivals.com/parking/

Sonic Parade - 9 am, Help us celebrate Freedom and Lubbock..."The Friendliest City in America" at our Sonic Parade. The route will once again go from Ave M and Broadway, head East, turn North on Canyon Lakes Drive and disburse at Joyland. www.broadwayfestivals.com/parade

FirstCare Youth Fishing Tournament hosted by Cabela’s - 11 am - 3:30 pm. Pack up your tackle box and fishing poles and bring the kids out to Mackenzie Park for a fun and free youth fishing tournament. We will be stocking the lake with 650 lbs of catfish and fishing permit requirements will be waived. Prizes will be awarded for the largest fish caught, smallest fish caught and most fish caught in each category, 7 & under, 8-12 and 13-18. Participants are encouraged to bring their own poles and fishing supplies, but Cabela’s will be on site with tackle, bobbers and fishing poles (supplies limited). PetSmart Charities Pet Adoption Event - 8 am - 4 pm. Broadway Festivals is proud to partner with PetSmart Charities to bring you a massive pet adoption event in Mackenzie Park. Come out and make a new furry friend for life! Those interested should be sure to bring a pet addendum/permission note if you are renting your property. Pet adoptions run on average $150, this includes your new pet’s complete shots, spay or neutering, micro-chipping and complete medical records. Daytime Music in the Park, 10:30 am - 5:00 pm. Join us for a day full of music in the park on two major outdoor stages, three additional stages under tents and an intimate stage under the trees featuring all genres of music. Riversmith’s Catfish and Cherry Cobbler Eating Contests - 5 pm. Ever wonder how much catfish or cobbler someone could eat in ten minutes? Want to find out? Come out and watch as people try to go to for the gold or accept the challenge yourself at our Riversmith’s Eating Contest! Adult (18 & up) categories for catfish and cherry cobbler competitions. This event will also feature a special kids category! Kids 12 and under and invited to accept the challenge as well with our Kid’s Cherry Cobbler Gobbler Eating Contest! Watch as kids compete to gobble up their 12 ounce piece of cherry cobbler the fastest, without using their hands! Prizes will be awarded for 1st-3rd in all categories. Free registration. Covenant Health and First Bank & Trust’s Evening Concert and Reagor Dykes Mitsubishi Fireworks Extravaganza - (Evening Concert 7 pm/Fireworks 10 pm)

For the first time since the rain out in 2010, Broadway Festivals is bringing back our dynamic, state of the art, major Evening Concert production featuring the finest contemporary artists in West Texas and the Lubbock Youth Symphony Orchestras. Finish out the night with our Reagor Dykes Fireworks Extravaganza that’s bigger than ever and once again choreographed to the music of the Lubbock Youth Symphony Orchestra.
